  Recently, during a trip that I took alone to the province of Burgos, Spain, I rented a car in Burgos Spain. They gave me a Fiat that was stick shift. I do drive this very well. However, after one hour of driving the vehicle, the back end of the car started to smoke. People who were witnessing my vehicle as I was driving it tried to pull me over. Three wonderful 'God-sent' men helped me to get it running so I could go back to the Hertz location. While at the office, the Hertz agent told me that 'things like this have never happened before'. I quoted to him that I taught my eldest son to drive a stick shift and he told me that it was 'unbelievable to him'. He quoted other personal rants, however, he never checked the car over. He drove the car with me inside to show me that it wasn't happening to him. He said if it was the clutch, I would have to pay for it, even when I purchased the complete insurance plan at the beginning. However, an hour later, an electronic message occurred on the dashboard to alert of low oil. I quickly went back to the Hertz location, he again said nothing like this has ever happened. I told him that coming back to face him was harder than reporting the issue. After going out to look at the car alone, he called for his maintenance guy to add a bottle of oil to the car.
